A diamond can score well on certification but still be dull, hazy, and lifeless. IGI/GIA reports focus on technical grading but don’t include critical visual factors that directly impact appearance, brilliance, and value of the diamond.

• Presence of Brown, Green, or Milky Hues (BGM) - Shades/undertones of Brown, Green/Grey, & milky/cloudy appearance that can dull a diamonds brilliance and sparkle.

A highly graded diamond on paper doesn't guarantee it will be visually beautiful in person. Unfortunately, some jewellers sell lower-quality diamonds at premium prices without disclosing flaws like poor luster or BGM.
