How does the custom engagement ring design process work?

It begins with a consultation, either in person at our Chadstone showroom or online, where we discuss your vision, preferred stone, metal, and setting style. From there, our designers create a detailed 3D CAD model with a video preview so you can see your ring before it's made and request any adjustments. Once you approve the design, manufacturing typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. We recommend starting the process at least 12 weeks before your ideal proposal date to allow time for revisions and production.

Do you offer lab-grown diamonds, and how do they compare to natural diamonds?

Yes, we offer a curated selection of lab-grown diamonds alongside natural diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds and are graded by major gemological laboratories such as GIA and IGI. They are typically 20 to 40% less expensive than natural diamonds of the same size and quality, making them a popular choice for couples who want a larger or higher-quality stone within their budget. What is Moissanite, and is it a good choice for an engagement ring?

Moissanite is a distinct gemstone composed of silicon carbide, first discovered in a meteorite crater in 1893. All moissanite used in jewellery today is lab-created. It scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale (compared to diamond's 10), making it extremely durable and well suited for everyday wear. A 1-carat moissanite can cost up to 90% less than a comparable diamond, offering exceptional brilliance at a fraction of the price.

Can I visit your showroom, or do I need to book an appointment?

Our showroom is located at Chadstone, The Fashion Capital, in Melbourne and operates by appointment. This ensures you receive our full attention in a private, relaxed setting. We also offer private diamond viewings through our diamond concierge service. If you're interstate or overseas, our online consultations provide the same personalised experience from anywhere.

What payment options and plans do you offer?

We offer flexible payment plans to suit a range of budgets. You can get started with a 25% deposit and spread the balance over time. We accept Afterpay, Humm, and Layby, so you can choose the option that works best for you. All major credit and debit cards are also accepted.

Do your diamonds come with certification?

Yes. Our diamonds are certified by internationally recognised gemological laboratories such as GIA and IGI. Certification confirms the quality characteristics of your stone and provides the documentation you'll need for insurance purposes. We strongly recommend certification for any diamond over 0.5 carats, and our team will walk you through every detail of your stone's report.

What does your lifetime diamond warranty cover?

Every diamond purchased from AG & CO Jewellery is backed by our lifetime diamond warranty, giving you lasting peace of mind. The warranty covers your diamond for the life of the piece. We recommend keeping up with routine maintenance, such as periodic inspections and cleaning, to ensure your ring stays in perfect condition. Full warranty terms are provided in writing with your purchase.

What is your returns and resizing policy?

We offer 90-day easy returns so you can purchase with complete confidence. Free resizing is also included, which means if your ring doesn't fit perfectly, we'll adjust it at no extra cost. Please note that certain designs, such as full eternity bands and tension settings, can be very difficult or impossible to resize, so we'll confirm resizability with you before finalising your design.

How is shipping handled, and do you ship internationally?
